            Widower of Aaltje Jacobs. In 1774 the 20th the penning is paid heirs of Jan Cornelis because 

             of death of C-himself son Cornelis Jans on Moeniswerf (1/6 part of house Moeniswerf)

             (werf=shipyard; Marken= village and island in Holland)

             In 1775, after its death, legal guardians are appointed concerning its children. According to

             O.R.A.no. 3620 Marken Ship Role 17-01-1775 is the legal guardians concerning its children.

             Cornelis Jacobs van Moeniswerf and Pieter Cornelis, an uncle of the children of father’s side,

             Jan Pieters, brother of Sijtje Pieters.Trijn and Rein come under protection of Klaas Pieters, this

             is the man of Pietertje Cornelis, a sister of Jan Cornelis and Pieter Jans,the father of Sijtje

             Pieters. The protection is raised 17-10-1786. In 1776, the children buy country of Jan Cornelis

             (O.R.A. 3623 Marks 19-05-1776). Aartje Jans of the Rosenwerf sell to the children of late Jan

             Cornelis, lived and died on the Moeniswerf, 1/2 coeven land westwards of Lagebroek for 40

             guilders. In 1786, there a inheritance goes to its children. (Notary N.Bruijn Monnichendam,

             Inventory 3549, legger 1825 d.d. 19-10-1786) Will of unmarried uncle Pieter Cornelis

             (Puttick, has handmark sign), inheritance for Trijn and his cousin Reijn Jans eight new

35    Rein JANS (Bakker), born about 1761 in Marken, christened (NH) on 11‑01‑1761 in Marken(Moeniswerf), died on 19‑03‑1816 in Marken.

            In O.R.A no. 3627 marks of 1-10 and 9-10 1779 the following is mentioned: Jan Cornelis van

             Moeniswerf, old 25 years saw that Reijn Jans, 19 years old, with its captain Cornelis Cornelis,

             old 31 years (of the Heuvel) together to the rampart at the Meuningersluijs to country stepped

             and on the dyke coming Reijn Jans took off a knife pocket and put or snee him deposant at its

             linker armpit in body. Bleeding deposant ran to its mother’s house hence with sheriff Aart

             Jans to bailiff Gerrit Sas and surgeon to help himself.

             In the church council Sunday kept 01-03-1801 is mentioned that Reijn Jans is reduced to

             poverty, his oldest son belongs be be encouraged best to do with braaijen (making nets for

             fishing). Meeting 03-12-1805 (must be probable 1807). How Reijn Jans can by look dying its

             housewife in the sad circumstances for its small children considerably and at them not

             conjugated to incorporate them in the Diaconenhouse. Submits itself to the orders and laws.

             This request itself has been permitted not in the least fair. And Wierd P.Halvemaan on behalf

             of diaconie versagt (doesn’t make) schikking(agreement) to make to be able incorporate is the

             children of communicated R(eijn)Jans in The Diaconenhouse.

             Wijders Wierd has well found to make inventory of the furniture of house of called Rein

             Janss. Resting it, which in the hands of P.Halvemaan and diaconie recommended. Notary

             N.Bruyn at Monnichendam, inventory 3549, legger 1825, d.d.19-10-1786. Will of unmarried

             uncle Pieter Cornelis (Puttick,has handmark =token),bedeelt Trijn and Reijn sijn neev(his

             cousin) Reijn Jans agt (eight) new vuijken(=fish-traps).In O.R.A.nr.3623 marks of 09-05-1790

             states mentioned that Reijn Jans and Cornelis Dirks (both at Moeniswerf) sell to Aartje Jans 

             coeven land for 37 guilders. In 1796, Neeltje Dirks, ask the woman of Rein Jans costs at the

             birth of Wolmet According to a extract of the province North Holland (Napoleon Law),

             municipality Marken adopts Rein Jans 10 September 1811 the surname of Bakker, his children

             have afterwards also the surname Bakker, such as Jan Bakker (born 18-08-1791).

Married to Neeltje DIRKS, christened on 25‑09‑1757 in Marken, died on 10‑11‑1805 in Marken at the age of. Daughter of Dirk JANS and Jannetje KLAAS (Kapiteijn)

            Widow of Muus Jacobs on the Heuvel (hillock=part of the island). She has from the earlier

            marriage with Muus Jacobs’s children (little girl’s oa Aaltje Muus)). She does her confirmation

            16-05-1784. The date of death of Neeltje Dirks gives some problems. According to the meeting

            of the Church Council (Kerkeraad) on 03-12-1805, in what Reijn Jans ask place the children

            because of dying its housewife in the Diaconessenhouse, she must be dying before 03-12-

            1805. In the sepulchre book of marks, they has been buried outside the cemetery at the place

            for poor people, she died 10-11-1806. In the extract from the register of the municipality of the

            island Marken, presently in the marriage settlements of Jan Bakker, she died 20-04-1807.
